Mid-South Greyhound Adoption Option is a 501(c)(3) non- profit, pro-racing adoption group on the grounds of Southland Park Gaming and Racing in West Memphis, Arkansas. MSGAO was started in 1991 with the mission of finding homes for retired racing greyhounds. The program has grown over the years. Currently we have an executive director, adoption manager, three kennel staff, an eight-member board of directors and more than 100 volunteers in the surrounding communities in the tri-state area we serve. MSGAO is partially funded by Southland Park as well as donations from the local kennel operators, race-dog owners, gift-shop sales, area fund-raisers and from donations, both corporate and private. MSGAO offers a greyhound-only boarding program that can house 20 dogs at any given time. Our goal is to increase public awareness of the "pet-ability" of retired racing greyhounds. Our focus is always on the dogs!
